AN HISTORIC VOTE TO HELP SOLVE MILWAUKEE’S FISCAL CRISIS

Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee were careening dangerously close to a catastrophic fiscal cliff. With limited options for increasing local revenue, there was a great need to identify and garner support for a new source of revenue: a local sales tax.

BRINGING TOGETHER SUSTAINABILITY ORGANIZATIONS TO MEET THE MOMENT

Mueller Communications was engaged to help develop and launch a public-facing coalition made up of sustainability-focused and clean energy organizations around the state dedicated to people-first clean energy and climate policies. This project necessitated the creation of a full brand identity, including a logo, name, messaging and website. Following brand creation, Mueller collaborated with coalition members to launch the organization, and continues to provide communications support including social media, event planning, media relations, newsletter creation and more. The coalition - now known as the Clean Economy Coalition of Wisconsin - brings together a broad-base of organizations to advocate for clean energy initiatives and support climate-friendly policies across the state.
