Communications & The wisconsin DOR’s

Innovation Grant Program

What is it?

The state’s new grant program helps counties, municipalities, and tribes fund innovative partnerships that transfer existing services to another public, nonprofit or private organization.

There’s $300 million available statewide, and each municipality may receive up to $10 million per year. Participating governments can choose to transfer all or part of a service, and the Department of Revenue (DOR) will prioritize projects that improve public safety, fire protection, and emergency services.

Applications are due by March 31, 2026.
