Hello! I’m Toya, former anchor/reporter at Milwaukee’s ABC affiliate. After 27 years in the business I made a career pivot and found myself wanting to use the skills I’ve developed in a new way. For decades, I told stories, brought news to our community, gave voice to the voiceless, and worked hard at showcasing Milwaukee and the state. All things that dovetail beautifully into public relations. I love finding commonalities between people, harnessing clear and confident messaging, and making a lasting connection with people by telling their stories. I’m a member of the Board of Visitors for UW-Madison’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, served as board VP for Hope Street in Milwaukee and a new board member for Marcus Performing Arts Center. I graduated from UW-Madison with intentions of moving to another state…but Wisconsin does what Wisconsin does and roped me right in.
When I’m not working, chances are you can find me and my husband, Brian on the sidelines of our daughters basketball or soccer games. When we’re not home…chances are we’re in the north woods on a lake taking in water sports and the sun. I’m also an avid thrifter, DIYer and recently started flipping furniture (not Real Housewives style) to fill out the cabin we just built up north.
