Ben Orton-Vipond

Hello! I’m Ben Orton-Vipond, a Client Director with Mueller Communications. I bring nearly 15 years’ experience in strategic communications, marketing, and project management, supporting clients like the NBA, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Virginia Department of Health. I’m thrilled to join the Mueller team! 

I moved from the Milwaukee area to Washington, D.C. to attend George Washington University, where I received my undergraduate degree and a Masters of Public Health. I began my career in a communications agency, focusing on clients and projects that promote health services and encourage positive behavior change. Most recently, I directed communications for a nonprofit advocacy initiative that urges the U.S. Congress to prioritize overdose prevention.

I believe the best communications campaigns are the result of meaningful partnerships. As a Client Director, I work to make sure that everyone’s input is incorporated into a final, strategic product and approach. I want everyone to see themselves reflected in the work I do — I believe that’s how a message resonates and remains long after a radio spot ends, a billboard is taken down, a front page refreshes or a community-based effort comes to a close.

Outside of the office, I enjoy doing anything that gets me outside. I recently returned to Milwaukee with my spouse and two children, and we have spent our time exploring our new neighborhood, swimming in Lake Michigan, and enjoying Milwaukee’s excellent lakefront parks.
