ASSOCIATE | Digital Content Strategist

I’ve built my career on a single premise: “Never say no to a story.” As the editor-in-chief of my college newspaper, I took pride in turning over every stone. When I took my first reporter’s job at the age of 22, I earned a reputation for my unrelenting persistence (often to the chagrin of my sources). Later, when I attended Marquette University, this approach gave me the confidence to compete at the top of my class, pursue a variety of fellowships and internships, and launch my own freelancing business.

I’ve written news articles about Millennial homeownership, Milwaukee’s fashion scene, and the nuances of foam hand soap in the same week. I’ve interviewed politicians and police detectives and entrepreneurs and janitors along the way. When clients began asking if I could also write press releases, advertisements, and SEO content for the web, I thought “Why not?”

Needless to say I relish variety — which is why I love working at Mueller Communications. With Mueller’s broad work in public affairs, media relations, corporate communications and events, I get to maintain a pulse on the city — just as I’d enjoyed as a journalist — and work behind the scenes to put our clients’ stories out front and center.

From helping the MPS Foundation promote their inaugural awards gala, to announcing MSOE’s foray into artificial intelligence, to seeing Coakley’s mosaic water tower light up Milwaukee’s skyline, I apply the same fervor I held as a young journalist — now as a PR professional.

Outside of work, I enjoy hanging out with my super cool son, Trevon; embracing my “Ohm” through aerial arts; exploring new corners of the city with my S.O.; running around with my Siberian Husky, Shadow; and chipping away at my long, long-awaited novel.
