WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Mueller Communications is a full-service communications and marketing agency located in Milwaukee. We work across the entire communications spectrum, so whether an organization has good news to promote or a challenging situation to manage, our team of experts can develop a solution to meet their needs. We provide a diverse set of services and have an equally diverse client roster of organizations of all sizes, across all industries — all with a shared connection to or love of our community and our state.

With Mueller, you’ll get the opportunity to work with some of the region’s most influential players, from national healthcare organizations and retailers, to beloved cultural institutions and community organizations — and everything in between. In a single week, you might draft a press release, attend a news conference, build a marketing campaign, write ad copy, or help out with a video shoot. Two days are never the same. We take pride in the great work that we do, but we’re even more proud working in this city knowing we’ve made a real impact. We know you will, too.

You might be wondering: How does this internship work in today’s hybrid world of virtual and in-person work? Like any good communications professional, we ask you to be flexible and comfortable with a little bit of uncertainly as we continue to navigate the ever-changing health and safety landscape, while always doing what’s best for our team and clients. We continue to offer flexibility as a key pillar of our internship program, so we’re looking for a self-starter who isn’t intimidated by making the most of a hybrid virtual/in-person environment.

Want to Join us?

We aren’t shy about loving our hometown of Milwaukee. But we agree with most, that we need to be better ambassadors for our city.  We need to lead with what we love, instead of justify the bad weather. We need to better articulate why we choose to make Milwaukee home and why we think others should do so too.

To be considered for the 2023 Barkin McKeithan Scholarship program, we want to know: why do you choose Milwaukee? Based on your experience what makes it uniquely different and better than other place? Submit an original entry showing us what you love about Milwaukee.

No need to write a novel or make a feature-film! Some entry examples could include:

  • A travel blog/vlog or personal journal

  • A podcast

  • A listicle or infographic

  • A poem

In addition to your entry, please include your resume and a one-page cover letter that includes your name, the title of your creative project and a brief description, as well as a brief explanation as to why you would be a good addition to the Mueller team.
