WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Mueller Communications is a full-service communications and marketing agency located in Milwaukee. We work across the entire communications spectrum, so whether an organization has good news to promote or a challenging situation to manage, our team of experts can develop a solution to meet their needs. We provide a diverse set of services and have an equally diverse client roster of organizations of all sizes, across all industries — all with a shared connection to or love of our community and our state.

With Mueller, you’ll get the opportunity to work with some of the region’s most influential players, from national healthcare organizations and retailers to beloved cultural institutions and community organizations — and everything in between. In a single week, you might draft a press release, attend a news conference, build a marketing campaign, write ad copy, or help out with a video shoot. Two days are never the same. We take pride in the great work that we do, but we’re even more proud working in this city knowing we’ve made a real impact. We know you will, too.

You might be wondering: How does this internship work in today’s hybrid world of virtual and in-person work? Like any good communications professional, we ask you to be flexible and comfortable with a little bit of uncertainly as we continue to navigate the ever-changing health and safety landscape, while always doing what’s best for our team and clients. We continue to offer flexibility as a key pillar of our internship program, so we’re looking for a self-starter who isn’t intimidated by making the most of a hybrid virtual/in-person environment.

Want to Join us?

For many people, the last two years have put our grand travel plans on hold. We’ve traded in exploring far-and-wide for appreciating the small things, including what’s right here in our own backyards. Whether it's a local museum, library, park, or a new small business or restaurant, we’ve had the chance to enjoy things closer to home during the past 24 months.

To be considered for the 2022 Barkin McKeithan Scholarship program, we want to know: what have you discovered or learned to love about where you live? Submit an original entry showing us your new-found love of the hidden gems you discovered hiding throughout the great city of Milwaukee or state of Wisconsin.
