Morgan Shelton

Ms. Morgan Shelton is an account executive with Mueller Communications, Inc. (MCI.) Ms. Shelton manages several client accounts and is responsible for creating and executing results-oriented marketing, public relations and integrated communications strategies; and organizing community, media relations and public awareness campaigns.

Prior to joining MCI, Ms. Shelton worked as an account executive at Boelter + Lincoln Marketing Communications. In that role, Ms. Shelton worked with a variety of clients including the Wisconsin Department of Tourism (WDT), InfoCor and Prime Leather Finishes, among others. Ms. Shelton’s responsibilities included developing strategic plans, coordinating media outreach initiatives, organizing press conferences, video editing and more. Also through her work with the WDT, Ms. Shelton proved instrumental in promoting its newly established brand strategy and securing regional media attention for Milwaukee Public Museum’s Body Worlds and Titanic exhibits.

Ms. Shelton has previously worked as a news producer at WILX-TV, an NBC affiliate in Lansing, Mich. Ms. Shelton worked on morning, evening and late-night shows, and was responsible for crafting newscasts; overseeing and timing live shows; writing and managing daily stories; responding to breaking news; and managing online news stories and webcasts.

Ms. Shelton holds a Master of Science in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Ms. Shelton earned Bachelor of Science degrees in theater, politics and African-American studies from Oberlin College. Originally from Chicago, Ill., she now resides in Brewers Hill, and is a board member for the Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals, and she is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Wisconsin Black Media Association, and Public Relations Society of America. As of March 2010, Ms. Shelton is serving as a member of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Reader Advisory Committee.

Ms. Ale B. Owens is an Account Coordinator at Mueller Communications, Inc (MCI). Her responsibilities include supporting the firm’s client teams by drafting and editing communications materials, assisting with media relations and event planning, and coordinating marketing and public affairs efforts.

Prior to joining Mueller Communications, Ms. Owens gained valuable public relations experience working with the Indiana University Student Foundation (IUSF). She assisted in the coordination of three on-campus events, The Little 500, The Little Fifty and IU Sing through special events planning, community outreach and media relations.

While at Indiana University, Ms. Owens worked with Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County implementing various community outreach activities including writing, design, fundraising and event planning. She also volunteered with the Homeward Bound, a non-profit dedicated to fighting homelessness.

Ms. Owens graduated from Indiana University – Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism concentrating in public relations and advertising.

Currently, Ms. Owens volunteers with the Parenting Network of Milwaukee.
